OptionX Product Options — Privacy Policy

Who we are

OptionX Product Options ("OptionX", "we") is a Shopify application operated by Byto X. Contact: gooohive@gmail.com.

What data we process

When a merchant installs OptionX we store:

• The store's myshopify.com domain, currency, and the app configuration the merchant creates (option sets, labels, prices, rules).
• Authentication tokens issued by Shopify, used solely to operate the app on the merchant's behalf.

We do not store shoppers' personal data on our servers. Options a shopper selects (for example an engraving text) are attached to the order as line item properties and live in the merchant's own Shopify store, not in OptionX databases.

How we use data

• To render the merchant's configured options on their storefront.
• To create and maintain the hidden fee product used for priced add-ons.
• To provide support and improve app reliability.

We do not sell or share data with third parties for advertising.

Data retention & deletion

• On uninstall, Shopify access tokens are invalidated and removed immediately.
• All remaining shop data is permanently deleted when Shopify sends the mandatory shop/redact webhook (48 hours after uninstall), or earlier on request.
• We honor customers/data_request and customers/redact requests; since we store no shopper personal data, these are acknowledged automatically.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an access-controlled PostgreSQL database. Webhooks are verified with Shopify HMAC signatures.

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
